In February 2004, the following founders combined efforts and became partners in Integrous Counseling Center, LLC
Through the Managing Behaviors with Integrity program, our group facilitators hope to help men become emotionally healthy, caring fathers, husbands, and contributing members of society.
Through the Divorcing Parents Education Seminars, our facilitators hope to give divorcing parents the tools for better communication and a better understanding of the child’s place in a divorce and how it affects them.
Thomas N. Hale, B.S., M.A. in Community Agency Counseling, NCC, CDVC-III
Tom is Managing Director of Integrous Counseling
Center. He has National Counseling Certification, as well as being
a Certified Domestic Violence Counselor. He has eleven years experience
in domestic abuse work, leading the men’s
intervention program at another community agency prior to facilitating
groups for Integrous. Tom is SASSI certified in the "Administration
and Scoring" and "Clinical Interpretation" for alcohol and drug
abuse evaluation to determine A&D dependence. Unlike
many general practice therapists, Tom specializes in anger and
abuse issues and has been referred to as the “guru of anger” in
East Tennessee by the director of a local mental health advocacy
program.
Jacqueline B. Hale, B.G.S. (business, psychology, criminal justice studies)
Jackie is Secretary/Treasurer of Integrous Counseling
Center. She has nearly forty years financial experience in retail,
church, and non-profit organizations. She has served on the board
of non-profit organizations and has many years of volunteer community-service
experience. Jackie is SASSI certified in the "Administration and
Scoring" and "Clinical Interpretation" for alcohol and drug abuse
evaluation to determine A&D dependence. She continues
to work in her capacity as an Administrative Secretary at the State’s
regional mental health hospital for the Upper East Tennessee area,
located in Knoxville.
W. Gary Blackburn, B.S., J.D.
Gary is an Attorney-at-Law and serves as Legal Advisor for Integrous. He has been licensed in Nashville since 1973 and is a partner in Blackburn & McCune, PLLC. He is a member of the Legal Services of Nashville and Middle Tennessee, American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Nashville Bar Association, American Board of Trial Advocates, and Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association.
James M. Tate
James has served as a group facilitator in men’s domestic abuse intervention groups for nine years. He facilitates groups as a peer facilitator/community volunteer. He also continues his position as Kitchen Manager in a popular Knoxville restaurant.
Julie L. Dawson, B.A., Psychology
Julie has five years experience leading men’s
intervention groups. She currently is with the UT Child Support
Employment & Parenting Program. She has previously served
as a Family Specialist, Crisis Intervention Specialist and Juvenile
Case Manager.
Brent T. Ward, M.A., Community Agency Counseling, NCC
Brent has two years experience leading men’s
intervention groups and has National Certified Counselor standing.
He is currently working on the Integrous' Teen Anger Management
Education (TAME) curriculum, used for youth referrals from
local courts and children's agencies.
Darris R. Ward, M.A., Community Agency Counseling, NCC
Darris has two years experience leading men’s
intervention groups and has National Certified Counselor standing.
He is currently working on the Integrous' Teen Anger Management
Education (TAME) curriculum, used for youth referrals from local
courts and children's agencies.
Additions to the Membership Board:
William “Sande” MacMorran, B.A., Masters in Music
Sande has been a group facilitator for one year. He serves as a Community Volunteer. Besides being a group leader for Integrous Counseling, he has served many years as a member of the UT–K music faculty.
Santos Aquilar
Santos is a group facilitator for the newly formed Spanish-speaking men’s intervention group. He is a native of Mexico and now is a United States citizen. He owns a construction company and is President and founder of Alinaza del Pueblo, a non-profit organization advocating for the Latino community in East Tennessee.
The Spanish speaking class is a joint effort between Integrous Counseling and Alianza del Pueblo. |
